Baltimore is the greatest city in america

Or the city that reads, or whatever you like really. I like to think of it as The City Formerly Known as Baltimore, Known Hereafter as the Unpronounceable Symbol of the Boh Face. Or Boh Face City for short, or B-town for shorter.

There is a good reason why Baltimore is the Greatest City in America. And that reason is obviously Baltimore Club. Baltimore Club (in case you live in a fucking bunker) is the result of aggressive looping over a hip-hop/house beat. Its punctuation is delivered enthusiastically by foghorns, laser beams, and the occasional train whistle. With influences felt from the dance hall styles of Jamaica, Baltimore club is the most superior art form that has ever existed with the intention of making you get low.

It was Grindcore who introduced me to it going down the beltway to the sounds of the FRIDAY NIGHT HOOLIGAN EXPRESS which can only be found on 92Q THE PEOPLES STATION. Nowhere on earth is there a greater radio show. I'm not sure it's put on with the vision of two white boys flailing their arms around in a speeding vehicle down 695 on their way to a shitty rosedale apartment with no air conditioning and a bitchy landlady. But that's precisely what happened and precisely what will always happen. And that's what makes Baltimore club great. That, and this song:
