This is a lot better than that bullshit the helenator just posted

...so you should listen to it. And THE HELENATOR should maybe possibly restrain herself from posting annoying-indie-turned-chillwave tracks in the future.

FINISH HIM

I think I only like DJ Sega because c'mon, the SEGA Genesis® was fucking awesome. Who here only played Mortal Kombat because according to THE MORAL AUTHORITY it would turn us all into sociopaths and murderers? It just turned me into a stripper, which I can only assume Mileena did in her off time when she wasn't inhaling men and puking their bones onto the ring (I also do this, except I vomit glitter instead of skeletons).

Fatalaties aside, this is a sweet mixtape. There's a little bit of everything in here: dance, rap, dubstep, with some bmore club sprinkled around for good measure. His latest and probably most visible project was Ryeot Powrr, his recent collab with Rye Rye. There will definitely be a post on that later.

SO! Here's DJ Sega's hard-on solo awesomeness, the Sixer Series Vol. 1:

BASHMENT??????

I'd never even heard about this thing called "bashment" before DJ FUCKING PRETENTIOUS posted that crazy Jamaican (is that even a country? I just thought it was a weed dispensery) mixtape. I don't know what that means, other than that I could totally be about this happening. So I took time out of my crippingly busy day at my totally awesome job of precision cutting and pasting ads onto cell phone websites to dig up another mixtape from one of my TOP SECRET musics sources (blorgs like ours except without the eyevomit-inducing design).

To ease myself into this whole weird Jamaican music dance thing this first track is a really, really sweet remix of a song anyone worth their mettle should know. If you don't know it we are no longer friends.

Since that probably can't even be considered bashment, here's one that seems closer (am I doing this right? SOMEONE HELP)

CHI TOWN REPRESENT

True story: I once got a red crystal-covered hair bow from Kid Sister thrown into the crowd when she played at the U Street Music Hall. This was before DJ HELENATOR and her burlesque superstar bff GIGI HOLIDAY were invited up on stage to juke with the Chi Town legend. Concert win. Oh, FYI: She's Kid Sister because her older bro is Kanye West. Fun fact!

Like MIA, Kid Sister just released an amazing new mixtape: KISS KISS KISS. As far as I'm concerned this is even better than Vicki Leekx. This is really less a mixtape than a full-fledged remix/new album designed to be listened to as one long set. Here are my two favorite tracks:

Green Velvet - Everybody Wants by Hypetrak

Kid Sister - Right Hand Hi (Caspa Remix) by soul-or-system
