ENTERING GRUMSPACE
YESSSSSSSS. Unofficial video of Grum's Cybernetic. Surprise: it's absolutely gorgeous, despite not following Grum's usual non-spacefaring-cyborg aesthetic. See another of Grum's videos to see what I mean.

Can I borrow your rooftop a minute?
Doctor Dru & Adana Twins - Juicy Fruit from exploited records on Vimeo.
Seriously, I don't have enough rooftop parties. That's probably because I don't have a rooftop that's big enough, flat enough, or stable enough to have a party on. But still! As of five minutes ago I have a real hankering for a rooftop party, and someone out there in bloggyland MUST have a suitable rooftop. Railings are not required, but beer and an electrical socket for me to plug my PA system into are indeed required. Come on internet, lets make this happen.

MUSTARD PIMP IS RIGHT
Yeaaaa so this might go under that NSFW category maybe. You wouldn't want to watch this with your boss, or your mother, or probably anyone for that matter. Watch it alone in the comfort of your own room, shrieking with laughter and grimacing with the deeply unsettling horror that is human biology. Or rather human biology in a very fucked up version of Sesame Street.
Anyway the important part is that the track is, indeed legitimately awesome. That klaxon of a synth lead is amazingly strong and makes the breakdowns feel really good. Can't wait to spin this one. In the proverbial sense, of course, since the only thing spinning will be my hard drive. GET IT, HARD DRIVE?

Videos make me poor
In case you haven't seen this video yet, here it is.
So my natural response to the video was the following:
1) Log onto Amazon
2) Buy a midi pad controller
3) Snap out of it and regret the purchase immediately
OH WAIT THAT THIRD PART NEVER HAPPENED.

But what you should know is that I'm going to do crazy shit with this thing all weekend and nobody can stop me. So what if my pad's going to have one third the controls and I don't have Ableton Live, I'm a grownup now I do what I want!
PS. That's MADEON in the video, who has some seriously awesome shit, like the following:
Yelle - Que Veux Tu (Madeon Remix) by Madeon
Alphabeat - DJ (Madeon Remix) by Madeon
PPS. Someone has informed me that Madeon is a 16 year old who lives in France. While I haven't been to France to verify this, it just goes to show you how much ridiculousness is in play here.
UPDATE: JUST SPENT EVEN MORE MONEY GETTING THE NEW TRAKTOR 2.
SAMPLE DECKS AND A BEAT PAD <3<3<3<3<3

"WHEN OUR BODIES CONNECT IN THE SENSUAL GROOVE"
Seriously, that's a line from this track. Found it on Tiga's new label, Planet Turbo.
Things that I love about this:
1) the mid synth pops really well
2) good interplay between the mid synth and the vocals
3) WALL OF KEYBOARDS!!!!
4) repeating the words "Let's get it on" over and over again
5) MORE SYNTH YES MORE MORE YES

OBAMA PIMPS WHITE WOMEN AND BLACK WOMEN
I should have posted this a long time ago, as it's quite possibly the best baltimore club song, and for that matter the best song that's ever been made. I hope it ends up in the National Archives as a historical relic of our times. Specifically a relic of those days in 2009 when Obama wasn't just the President, he was also A LONG-LEGGED MAC DADDY.

FRIDAY: WE CAN FIND OUT THE SCIENCE
I know she's actually saying "We can fight our desires". But what I'm hearing is "We can find out the science", and for obvious reasons I think those lyrics are superior.
For more La Roux escapades, I'd of course recommend downloading some LAZERPROOF.

THE DRUM MACHINES ARE SENTIENT
Pogo is primarily known for his trip-hop video remixes of classic Disney movies (watch this fantastic Alice in Wonderland track). But guess what I stumbled upon? Maybe one of the best remixes of all time. This is made ENTIRELY of samples from Terminator 2, the greatest movie ever made.
Praise be to Pogo. May he deliver unto us more of such masterpieces.
